All To Play For In Final Round - 24/05/2008
IT'S ALL to play for on the final day at The 888.com Masters after an open second round which has left eight players within two shots of the lead.
Lee Slattery, an early season PGA EuroPro Tour winner at the PokerMillion.Com European Masters, shot a solid four-under-par 68 to share first place with Denny Lucas and Darren Charlton at the Stoke-by-Nayland GC.
Slattery had looked set to take a one-shot lead in to the final day but for a final hole bogey, his second of the round, which took the edge off his six birdies.
Lucas fired a 69 whilst Charlton's up-and-down day included eight birdies and four bogeys.
The overnight leader, Jamie Donaldson, slipped back a place after a one-under-par round of 71.
57 players made the cut, set at two-over-par, including Stephen Lawton, an amateur attached to Woburn but studying at North Carolina State College, who recovered from a Day One round of 75 with an impressive 66.
