Big Money Start To Season - 29/09/2007
THE PGA EuroPro Tour will have a big-money start to the new season, with a €75,000 event at Morgado on the Algarve now confirmed.
The 2006 PGA EuroPro Tour season begins later this month at Wensum Valley from 26-28 April.
The Verdes Golf Azores Championship will then take place from 11-13 May at Ponta Delgada, offering a €100,000 prize fund.
The PGA EuroPro Tour can now confirm that the event in the Azores will be followed by the tournament at Morgado, which has a €75,000 prize fund.
The PGA EuroPro Tour has chartered a flight on Sunday 7 May from Gatwick to Ponta Delgada, which is priced at €200 per person.
In addition, a plane has also been chartered on Sunday 14 May to fly from Ponta Delgada to Faro at a cost of €165 per person.
No arrangement has been made for return flights from Faro - players must make their own arrangements.
Any player wishing to return home from the Azores and not compete at Morgado can either fly to Faro on the chartered flight and then return home, or they can return home by making their own arrangement from the Azores.
Accommodation for both events will be charged at a reduced cost to the play, and details will be sent to all players before the closing date for entries.
The closing dates for entries to the first three tournaments are as follows: Wensum Valley - 18 April, 3pm Ponta Delgada - 26 April, 3pm Morgado - 26 April, 3pm
