Bovey Castle To Host PGA EuroPro Tour - 12/10/2007
THE PGA EuroPro Tour will make its first visit to the stunning Bovey Castle on Dartmoor this summer.
The world's leading developmental tour will head to Devon from 8-10 August 2006 for their first tournament at the course.
Set in 368 square miles of the Dartmoor National Park, Bovey Castle was designed to rival its sister courses at Gleneagles and Turnberry.
"We are very excited that a PGA EuroPro Tour event will be held at Bovey Castle," said PGA EuroPro Tour Operations Manager Dan Nickless.
"This is one of the most stunning courses the PGA EuroPro Tour has ever visited and I'm sure it will provide a memorable experience for all the competing players.
"Bovey Castle also has one of the finest hotels in Europe, if not the world, and it will be a special place to host one of the prestigious events on the PGA EuroPro Tour.
"We are looking forward to working with owner Peter de Savary and his staff to make this a successful tournament."
Bovey Castle is the latest new course to welcome the PGA EuroPro Tour in 2006, alongside Stonebridge and Batalha GC in the Azores.
