China Fleet Lead For Fairhall - 17/12/2007

A SUPERB round of 66 from Mark Fairhall has given him the lead during the first round of the China Fleet International Open.

The 26-year-old from Haywards Heath was in top form on the opening day of the event, at Saltash in Cornwall, carding six birdies and an eagle in his round.

He dropped just two shots during Wednesday's round and leads by one stroke from playing partner Jamie Farnsworth and Andrew Willey, who shot rounds of 67.

Mark Smith, Inder Van Weerely and Martin Sell all sit on -4, with four players back on -3 following an opening round of 69.
