DEAN PLANT has hit the second hole in one at The Swallow Challenge during his second round on Thursday.

The Team Unleash star saw his eight iron at the 170 yard 13th hole roll in for an eagle to give his challenge a major boost.

Plant follows Sandeep Grewal in landing a hole in one at Farleigh Court, following his ace at the fifth on Wednesday.

Early finishers from the second round include overnight leader Ben Welch, who slipped from -4 to +3 after shooting a seven-over-par 80 on Thursday.

Daniel Wardrop followed up his opening round 71 with a 72 to move ahead at -3, with Peter Williamson and Phil Worthington - who is still on the course - a shot behind.
