Duo Impress Early In Cheshire - 04/12/2007

KIERAN STAUNTON and Simon Robinson are the early leaders during the opening round of The Golf Pages Classic at Mollington Grange GC in Chester.

Staunton hit eight birdies in his round of 64, only dropping shots at the tenth and 14th holes, while Robinson was flawless in his 64 with six birdies.

Dean Barnes and Martin Sell, who have both been in good form recently, are a further shot back after firing rounds of 65 on Wednesday.

Australian John Wade announced his return to action with a four-under-par 66, which was matched by New Zealand's Richard Squire and Englishman Neil Price.
