Duo Share Wensum Lead - 15/03/2008

ANDREW MARSHALL and Daniel Gaunt share the lead going into the final day of The PartyPoker.com Classic at Wensum Valley.

The duo both hit four-under-par rounds of 68 on the second day of the event to move three strokes clear of the chasing field at -6.

European Tour player Marshall, in his home county of Norfolk, finished with a birdie and an eagle - chipping in from off the green - to ensure that he stayed ahead of the pack.

Guy Woodman, who has recovered from a seriues of injury problems, shot 71 on Thursday to move into third place at -3.

Dean Plant moved to -2 after hitting a 70 in his second round, while overnight leader Ross Fisher slipped back to -1 after carding 75 on day two.

Up-and-coming star Graham Gordon recovered from incurring a two-stroke penalty at the 11th to make the cut at +4, while Mark Banning hit a 69 to put himself in contention going into the final day.

A total of 57 players made the cut at +5 after two testing days at the windy Norfolk course as they chase the £12,000 first prize.

The leading group, including Marshall, will tee off at 1pm on Friday.
