Eighth Placed Finish For Lilly In Manchester - 31/08/2007
SIMON LILLY finished tied eighth at the Morson International Pro-Am Challenge, with Alvaro Quiros coming from the pack to take victory on the final day at Marriott Worsley Park. 
Spanish player Quiros stunned Mark Pilkington with a final round 64 to defeat the Welshman - who had led from day one - by three shots at -13.
Former PGA EuroPro Tour Champion Lilly finished the event tied for eighth place following a level par 70 on the final day, to leave him at -5 for the event.
Chris Doak, Euan Little and Ben Willman were among five players tied on -4.
Darren Prosser was among a further group of five who ended the event at -3.
Scotland's Paul McKechnie, another player to progress from the PGA EuroPro Tour, finished at -1 with a fine 68 on Saturday.
Daniel Gaunt, John Wells and Zane Scotland - who was an early clubhouse leader on day one following an opening round 64 - ended the tournament at level par.
Gaunt will head a 168-man field when the PGA EuroPro Tour returns to action this week for the Heydon Grange International Open, which begins on Thursday.
