EuroPro Tour Quartet Star In Big Break IV - 18/11/2007

FOUR players from the 2005 PGA EuroPro Tour can be seen on The Big Break IV, with the series returning to The Golf Channel from Monday night.

Guy Woodman (pictured), Thomas Blankvoort, Marty Wilde Jnr and Warren Bladon are part of the six-man European team which is taking on their American counterparts in the Reality Golf programme.

The programme, which begins at 8pm on Monday and will run for 14 weeks, sees a number of skills challenges set for the teams.

Starting off as a Europe v USA challenge, the programme develops into elimination golf, with a place in the European Tour's 2006 Nissan Irish Open among the prizes on offer for the eventual winner.

The tournament was based at Carnoustie, and Wilde admitted that his initial thoughts of a friendly competition were soon dispelled.

"We sort of waved to them, and some of them didn't wave back and I thought, 'Oh God, is this going to be this serious all the way through'," he said.

Auditions for the Big Break IV were held at Wensum Valley back in April, with Woodman, Wilde, Blankvoort and Bladon all progressing to the main event.

Woodman has figured 12 times on the PGA EuroPro Tour in 2005 and currently sits 67th on the Order of Merit.

Blankvoort has made ten appearances and Bladon has been in action twice, while Wilde - the youngest Big Break IV competitor at 24 - has played in five events.

Catch the tournament on The Golf Channel UK from 8pm on Monday.
