HUDDERSFIELD golfer Christopher Hanson remained on course for another top ten finish in the 2007 PGA EuroPro Tour season.
Hanson (pictured right) is in first place after two days of a weather-hit sixth event, which is being staged at Bovey Castle, Devon.
A thunder and lightning storm had delayed proceedings on Tuesday as more than 60 players could not complete their opening rounds at the scheduled times.
That meant an early start on day two as some competitors finished their first round and then began their second shortly afterwards.
Hanson, who won the 2006 event ay Bovey Castle, was one of those in action twice in the same day as he recorded a six-under round one and then a level par 70 on Wednesday.
It continues his fine season that has seen him come inside the top ten at three of the four tournaments he has played.
He has finished ninth at Wensum Valley, fifth at Roganstown and second at Cardrona, while only a poor final round stopped him securing another high spot at Faithlegg.
Other players performing well in Devon include Matthew Woods (Donnington Grove, Berkshire - five-under), Neil Vowles (Burton-on-Trent - three-under) and Daniel Wardrop (Manchester - four-under).
Neil Walker, who won at Cardrona, Scotland, had fired a five-under on Tuesday but suffered a disastrous second day as he went back to level par after a five-over second round.
As with all EuroPro Tour events, Matchroom Sport will produce a two-hour highlights package, which will be shown on Sky Sports on Wednesday, July 4 and the following day.
The next event will be staged at the Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Club in Leavenheath, Colchester, Essex and will run from Tuesday, June 26 to Thursday, June 28.
