Hever Castle welcomes Virgin Atlantic 2010 Classic - 16/03/2010

The PGA EuroPro Tour is delighted to announce that Hever Castle Golf Club in Kent will host the Virgin Atlantic 2010 Classic in August.

The airline giant joined the Tour last year and held the Virgin Atlantic 25th Anniversary Classic at Marriott Tudor Park in Kent, and they return to the Garden of England from the 17-19 August at another new venue on the 2010 schedule.

"When Peter Parks our Director of Golf told me that we have an opportunity to host the Virgin Atlantic 2010 Classic, we both instantly knew Hever Castle's sporting estate would be the perfect venue to compliment such a prestigious event," said Jon Wittenburg, Club Manager at Hever Castle Golf Club.

"Everyone at the Tour is very excited about this event," said Sam Pigott, Commercial Manager of the PGA EuroPro Tour. "We are delighted that Virgin Atlantic are sponsoring their second EuroPro Tour event, and our commitment to introducing new and exciting courses to the Tour continues as we add Hever Castle to the 2010 schedule - a fantastic venue that will pose a real test to this year's players."

Hever Castle is one of 14 confirmed events on the 2010 schedule. The deadline to enter the Qualifying School for the 2010 PGA EuroPro Tour is Wednesday 17 March - to enter click on the link at the top of the page.
