Jamieson 11/4 favourite for Faithlegg title - 14/05/2009

Scott Jamieson is the 11/4 favourite to win the Green17 Faithlegg Championship in Ireland, sharing the two-shot lead at eight under par ahead of Friday's final round with 4/1 shot Kieran Staunton.

The leading pair tee-off at midday after the chasing pack of five players at six under kick-off their hunt for the £10,000 first place cheque. Leading that group is Steve Surry (pictured), who bagged the first payday of the 2009 PGA EuroPro Tour when he won last week's Michael Ward UK Open at Collingtree Park in Northampton and is 6/1 to make it two out of two on the Emerald Isle.

Scotsman Jack Doherty is 10/1 fourth favourite and joins Surry, Jeremy Kavanagh (16/1), Steven Capper (18/1) and Andrew Thorpe (22/1) in the quintet closest to the leaders.

Surry was the 14/1 pre-tournament favourite along with Elliot Saltman who is three shots behind the leading duo and still at his starting price. Seven other players join the big-hitting Scotsman at five under including Sandeep Grewal (28/1), James Busby (28/1) and Spaniard Carlos Balmaseda (33/1).

The revised outright market closes at 10.30am on Friday morning, but Sky Bet have also priced up the final seven two-balls which begin with George Woolgar (10/11) and Paul Maddy (6/5 - tie 8/1) at 11.06am.
