Ladbrokes to sponsor tour event in September - 08/04/2007

THE PGA EuroPro Tour is delighted to announce a partnership with Ladbrokes that will see the betting company sponsor an event later this year.

From Tuesday, September 25 to Thursday, September 27, the Ladbrokescasino.com Masters will take place at the Selsdon Park Hotel and Golf Club (pictured right) in South Croydon, Surrey.

A number of top players have already signed up for the event including Graeme Clark, Neil Walker and Guy Woodman, who won the 2007 tournaments at Faithlegg, Cardrona and Collingtree Park respectively.

The competition in Surrey will be a hugely important one as the players will be vying to finish in the top 50 on the order of merit to earn their places at the end of season Tour Championships in October.

More than 150 players will be playing at Selsdon Park, each aiming to secure the £10,000 top prize. The top 50 plus ties after the first two rounds will advance into the final round on Thursday.

As part of a week of golf entertainment, there will also be a club Pro-Am at Selsdon Park on Monday, September 24 with a Ladbrokes Pro-Am on Friday, September 28.
