Mooney Joins Second Round Leaders - 02/10/2007

A FINE round of 67 from Damian Mooney has put him amongst the leaders at -5 during the second round of the PGA EuroPro Tour Qualifying School Final Stage at Frilford Heath.

The Irishman hit seven birdies in Wednesday's second round playing the Blue Course at Frilford Heath, although three bogeys means that he shares a three-man lead.

Sam Robinson, who carded a brilliant 64 on the Red Course on Tuesday, slipped back to -5 with a four-over-par 75 on the Blue Course, while Ciaran McMonagle's 70 on the Red Course moved him out to -5.

Eric Ramsey (70,70) and Peter Martin (69, 71) sit on -4 after playing the Red Course on Wednesday.

Craig Sutherland carded a superb 68 to move out to -2, while Royal Dublin golfer Gavin Hinds landed a hole-in-one on the ninth of the Red Course during his second round.

Play was delayed by 90 minutes on Wednesday due to overnight frost.
