More Stars Progress To Stage Two In European Tour Bid - 15/06/2007

PAUL HENDRIKSEN led another clutch of PGA EuroPro Tour members who qualified for Second Stage of European Tour Qualifying School.

The second half of First Stage was played across three courses, at Golf de Moliets, St Annes Old Links and Circolo Golf Bogogno.

Hendriksen won the Golf de Moliets leg with an impressive -18, carding 70,68,67,65 for his four rounds to lead two shots.

Welshman Liam Bond finished tied for eighth place at Circolo Golf Bogogno at -9, having started the event with a 67.

Jonathan Evans and Matthew Mills also came through that leg to earn a place at second stage.

A further 13 PGA EuroPro Tour members came through the St Annes Links stage, including John Morgan - the winner at The Players Club earlier this year - and Paul Streeter, who shot a third round 65, at -12.

Richard Johnson and Grant Hamerton came through at -11, with Mike Searle a shot back.

Craig Billing, Jack Doherty, Ian Keenan, Eric Ramsay and Peter Martin finished at -9 and David Astin and Yestyn Taylor were joined by former Tour Chamopion Simon Lilly at -8.

However, there was disappointment for Adam Constable, Alan Murray and Noel Fox, who missed out by a shot at -7, and Robert Wragg, Craig Sutherland and Michael Watson, who also narrowly failed to make the cut.

Second Stage of European Tour Qualifying School will take place at four courses in Spain from 1-4 November.
