Morris Surges Clear - 28/06/2007
A SECOND successive round of 66 from Matt Morris has seen him move clear at the top of the leaderboard during the second round of The Prime Time Recruitment Championship. 
Morris opened his challenge at Marriott Hollins hall with a five-under-par round on Wednesday, and moved out to -10 with a fine second round.
He dropped no shots and picked up five birdies - for the second successive day picking up a shot at seven, 15 and 17 - to move four shots clear in the clubhouse.
A superb second round 64 from Beverley's John Wells put him out to -6 after he began the tournament with a one-over-par 72.
Wells shot six birdies and an eagle in his round, with his only blemish being a bogey at the 18th.
Brian Rumney, representing Marriott Hollins Hall, moved out to -5 with a round of 68, while Jonathan Herbert, Jamie McLeary, Graham Rankin and Neil Walker all edged into contention at -4.
Adam Frayne, Ben Welch and Tim Rice joined Nathan Main at -3, with Matthew McGuire mirroring Wells' 64 to join a clutch of other contenders in the clubhouse a further shot back.
