Motocaddy Boost For Top Ten At Q School - 29/04/2007

TEN players who performed well at the Final Round of Qualifying School have been rewarded for their events with a brand new Motocaddy.

The competition at Frilford Heath, Oxfordshire was won by New Zealander Todd Nicholson and he and the other successful finishers also claimed a Motocaddy S1 (pictured right), as well as their regular prize money.

Tom Phillips, marketing manager of Motocaddy, hoped more players on the PGA EuroPro Tour would end up using a Motocaddy. He said: "We're giving away ten trolleys for the top ten qualifiers.

"We want as many players as possible on the tour using Motocaddy to see the benefit of using a Motocaddy trolley.

"Quite a lot of players are starting using it instead of carrying bags on a tournament and it just helps in terms of energy. The players aren't hurting their backs, especially when they're playing on tour. By using a Motocaddy, they're saving their energy to concentrate on their golf.

"We had a few players using them last year and want to get even more this year. It's an old fashioned belief of not using a trolley but the players are beginning to realise it's not just for people that are getting on a bit and it actually helps their game.

"It's a stylish bit of kit so we want the players to look good as well as when they're going round the course."

Motocaddy are the official powered trolley of the PGA EuroPro Tour. A new and improved Motocaddy S3 will soon be on the market and features include - a digital control panel which features distance, measurements so you can measure your drive, round time, distance as well as displaying the time, temperature and battery meter.
