Nathan's The Main Man! - 22/02/2008

AUSTRALIAN Nathan Main leads The PokerMillion.Com Championship following the first round of the PGA EuroPro Tour event at Collingtree Park on Wednesday.

The Arundel Hills golfer carded six birdies in his opening round, only dropping shots at the fifth and sixth holes on his way to a four-under-par 68.

He sits one shot clear of four players, with Graham Rankin joining early leaders Robert McGuirk, Darren Charlton and Ben St John on three-under-par.

Four other players - Gerlou Roux, Darryl Berry, Greg Hyde and Graham Fox - shot 70 on Wednesday, and a further seven players were also under par at -1.

Main's fellow countryman John Wade, who has won the previous two PGA EuroPro Tour events, managed just two birdies in an opening round of 75.
