PGA EuroPro Tour returns to Collingtree Park - 09/04/2008

The PGA EuroPro Tour is delighted to announce that Collingtree Park will host the Tour in May.

The Northampton course has played host to the Tour for the last three years, with Guy Woodman (pictured) coming out on top of a three-way play-off at last year's event. This year's competition will take place at Collingtree on May 14-16, with the practice day on May 12 and the Pro-Am on May 13.

Danny Nickless, operations manager for the Tour said: "I am delighted that Collingtree have agreed to stage yet another event. It is a first class golf course and I know one of the players' favourite venues on the schedule I would like to thank Richard O'Driscoll for his efforts in bringing the PGA EuroPro Tour to Collingtree again. The course is always immaculate and the Pro-Am that precedes this event is always a great day out. This signing confirms what is by far the strongest schedule we have ever had and with extra bonuses on offer such as Party Poker Birdie and Eagle Challenge and Peak Performance Player of the year it really is set to be a great year to play on the Tour. We are just awaiting a few more contracts from venues and we will have a very exciting full schedule."

The Qualifying School for the PGA EuroPro Tour begins on April 9-10 at Stoke-by-Nayland, Bedford Golf Club, The Players Club and Forest Pines, with the final stage taking place at Frilford Heath, Oxford on April 16-18, and the closing date for entries is today (March 26). Pro-Am teams will be sold for May 13, if you are interested contact Karen Mazzone on 01277 359908 or karen.mazzone@matchroom.com.
