Rainy day ahead at Collingtree Park - 16/05/2001

Mother Nature continues to hold the upper hand at Collingtree Park in Northampton as the final round of the Ivobank UK Masters got underway in heavy rain.

53 players made the cut at one over, with David Clark (Morpeth GC) the first man teeing off on his own at 8am.

Ian Keenan (Royal Liverpool) was second out on the course and made quick inroads into his one over score, moments ago adding a birdie on 11 to three down the front nine and sits at two under for the tournament.

Eden GC's Peter Richardson started the day one under but birdied the first two holes to make an early move. He'll have to continue in that vain to catch up with leaders Michael Hempstock and Daniel Brooks at nine under, who tee off at 11.44am.
