Record Entry For PartyPoker.com Q School - 11/05/2007
A RECORD number of 387 players will compete in Stage One of the PartyPoker.com Qualifying School next month, with over 500 members already signed up for the 2007 PGA EuroPro Tour.
The PGA EuroPro Tour has expanded greatly in the past three years, and more players then ever before will set out on the path to stardom in 2007.
A full field of 120 players will compete at The Bedford, with 97 at Stoke by Nayland, 89 at Beau Desert and 81 at Fulford.
"This is tremendous news," said PGA EuroPro Tour Managing Director Eddie Hearn.
"We have become established as the World's leading developmental tour and this growth is further proof that ambitious young players want to take the opportunities we can provide.
"The PGA EuroPro Tour has some tremendous courses lined up for 2007, including the stunning Carrick at Cameron House venue in Loch Lomond and Waterford's Faithlegg GC on our first visit to Ireland, and these players are making it clear that their ambition is to succeed on this stage."
The top players over two rounds at First Stage on 11 and 12 April will progress to Second Stage at Frilford Heath in Oxfordshire the following week.
Players exempt to Second Stage of Qualifying School have until Wednesday to enter.
