Robinson Moves Clear At Whittlebury - 20/06/2007
SIMON ROBINSON has moved into the clubhouse lead at The Peugeot International Open after recording an amazing 62 at Whittlebury Park on Friday.
Robinson won three times on the 2005 PGA EuroPro Tour, and could well pick up another title after a magnificent final round in Northamptonshire.
He sat at one-under-par following the first two days of the tournament, but made a brilliant start to his final round with an eagle at the second.
Robinson did card a bogey at the trird, but it was to be the only shot he dropped all day, scoring eight birdies in the remaining 15 holes to move out to -10.
Joint overnight leaders Warren Bennett, Kevin Harper and Michael Searle, along with Russell Claydon, have joined him at that score following 12 holes of their third round.
A 66 from Michael Watson means that he finishes the event at -9.
A full update will be issued a the close of play.
