Stars Head To Hertfordshire - 30/08/2007
THE PGA EuroPro Tour returned to action on Thursday morning, when the Heydon Grange International Open began in Hertfordshire.
The tournament is the fourth in the 2006 PGA EuroPro Tour calendar, and sees the tour return to the UK following events in the Azores and Portugal.
Michael Welch, who won the 2005 PGA EuroPro Tour event at Heydon Grange, is among the 168-man field for this year's event.
"This is the start of a busy period for the players and all will be looking to make a good start to the summer in the Heydon Grange International Open," said PGA EuroPro Tour Managing Director Eddie Hearn.
"The course is in fantastic condition once again, and I'm sure we will see some fantastic scoring in the next three days."
Colin Mitchell shot a six-under-par round of 66 in the Pro-Am on Wednesday, with Daniel Gaunt carding a 67 and Graeme Clark a further shot adrift.
