Stars Out In Force At Maylands - 10/12/2007

STARS from the world of sport and radio braved torrential rain to show their support for the PGA EuroPro Tour on Wednesday.

Despite the testing conditions, which affected all but the early starters at Maylands GC, former World Snooker champion Steve Davis was joined by a host of top stars at the PartyPoker.Com Classic Pro-Am.

Davis partnered PGA EuroPro Tour Chairman Barry Hearn in the opening game of the Pro-Am, along with leading professional Mark Smith.

Another Essex snooker star, Stuart Bingham, teamed up with former world number one darts player Rod Harrington and top darts referee Russ Bray to partner Guy Woodman." target="_blank" Another Essex snooker star, Stuart Bingham, teamed up with former world number one darts player Rod Harrington and top darts referee Russ Bray to partner Guy Woodman." target="_blank">www.europrotour.com/Images/harringtonbray_200.jpg" width="200" align="left" vspace="1" border="0" /> Another Essex snooker star, Stuart Bingham, teamed up with former world number one darts player Rod Harrington and top darts referee Russ Bray to partner Guy Woodman.

And David Fisher, the winner of the Marriott Sprowston Manor Open earlier this year, partnered Radio One presenter DJ Spoony.

Top Radio Five Live reporter David Croft was also involved in the Pro-Am, showing his backing for the aspiring young stars of the sport.

Leading PGA EuroPro Tour players were also involved in the event ahead of the start of The PokerMillion.Com Classic on Thursday.

Warren Bennett, the European Tour player on his comeback from injury, will partner last week's China Fleet International Open winner Andrew Willey and Woodcote Park star Kieran Staunton for the opening two rounds." target="_blank" Warren Bennett, the European Tour player on his comeback from injury, will partner last week's China Fleet International Open winner Andrew Willey and Woodcote Park star Kieran Staunton for the opening two rounds." target="_blank">www.europrotour.com/Images/spoony_200.jpg" width="200" align="right" vspace="1" border="0" />Warren Bennett, the European Tour player on his comeback from injury, will partner last week's China Fleet International Open winner Andrew Willey and Woodcote Park star Kieran Staunton for the opening two rounds.
