Stars within touching distance of European Tour - 18/02/2007

A HOST of current and former PGA EuroPro Tour stars are six rounds away from joining the golfing elite.

The final round of Qualifying School begins today and 18 men with EuroPro Tour experience are still in the running to graduate to the 2008 European Tour International Schedule.

Each of the 156 competitiors will play a round a day until Tuesday, November 20 with the top 30 and ties after the six rounds moving to the top tier of European golf.

Andrew Oldcorn, Stuart Cage, Damian Mooney (right), Matt Cort, Colm Morriaty, Gream Clarke and James Morrison have competed in EuroPro Tour events in 2007 and will all be playing at the San Roque Club in Sotogrande, Cadiz, Spain.

Elsewhere, Euan Little, Andrew Marshall, Liam Bond, Matt King, Lee Slattery, Micheil Bothma, David Dixon, James Heath, Eric Ramsey, Inder Van Weerelt and Adam Gee have also played on the EuroPro tour in previous years.
