Stunning Van Weerelt Moves Inder The Lead - 28/11/2007

Dutch star Inder Van Weerelt produced another superb round of 69 to move two shots clear going in to the final round of the Vila Sol Barclays European Masters.

With the sun gleaming conditions were perfect and Lee Rhind quickly took advantage with a six-under par 66 to move two under for the tournament. While overnight leaders Joe Templer and Andrew Willey fell away, David Fisher battled hard for a level par 72 and Portuguese star Antonio Sobrinho fired a new course record with an electrifying 65, leaving both players just two shots behind Van Weerelt going into the final round.

"I got off to a great start today from the 10th with three birdies in the first five holes but then hit three bad tee shots which led to three bogeys in a row just before the turn," commented Van Weerelt.

"I really dug in on my back nine and to shoot three under on the that front nine gives me great confidence going into tomorrow. I just plan to keep going  and to keep hitting fairways and hopefully keep putting well.

"You have got to be very patient out there as there is not one easy birdie hole on the course and it can jump up and bite you at anytime. It`s a stunning venue and to win here would be so special."
