ZANE SCOTLAND has made a brilliant start in the Morson International Pro-Am Challenge, carding a six-under-par round of 64 on Wednesday.

Scotland led by a shot from Jean-Baptiste Gonnet to hold the early clubhouse lead in the Challenge Tour event at Marriott Worsley Park.

In-form John Wells is among a group of players sat on -3 after a round of 67, alongside Robert McGuirt - a double winner on the 2005 PGA EuroPro Tour.

Former PGA EuroPro Tour stars Stuart Cage, James Hepworth, Denny Lucas, Michiel Bothma and Daniel Wardrop are all well placed following opening rounds of 69.
