The Shire stages the EuroPro Tour - 07/05/2008

The Shire London golf course plays host to the second event of the PGA EuroPro Tour, beginning today (May 7).

The Barnet course is the first in the UK designed by Seve Ballesteros and is a fitting venue for the Tour following last week's exciting opener at Wensum Valley. Seve Benson came out on top in a four-way play-off in testing conditions in Norfolk.

Play got underway at 7.30am this morning and the 156 strong field will be cut to the top 50 plus ties for Friday's final round where the winner will pick up £10,000.
