Thunder Delays Second Round - 20/01/2008

PLAY has been suspended during the second round of The Marriott Sprowston Manor Open due to inclement weather.

A thunder storm at the Norwich course meant that play was halted at 4.15pm on Wednesday - although overnight leader David Fisher had already managed to extend his cushion.

Fisher followed up his course record 64 with a one-under-par round of 70 on day two to move two shots clear of Eamonn Brady and Graham Rankin.

Irishman Brady shot two eagles and four birdies in a superb 65 on Wednesday, while Rankin posted a second successive 68 to join him at -6.

Guy Woodman joined the chasing pack at -3 with a 68 for his second round, with level par rounds of 71 keeping Darren Prosser and Mark Smith in the hunt.

A full round-up will be issued at the close of play.
