Top Quality Field Ready For Bovey Castle Test - 07/04/2007

THE sixth event of the PGA EuroPro Tour season begins on Tuesday, June 19 and features a top quality field.

Each of the top eight players on the 2007 Order of Merit will be in action at Bovey Castle (pictured right), which is located in Newton Abbot, Devon.

That means the five winners from the previous tournaments in this campaign - Colm Moriarty, Brian McElhinney, Graeme Clark, Neil Walker and Guy Woodman - will all be in action.

Clark will be aiming to continue his record of being the only player to have made the cut and therefore won prize money from each of the competitions this year.

Christopher Hanson, Mark Laskey and Adam Frayne, who are sixth, seventh and eighth respectively in the Order of Merit, will also be among the field of more than 150 people.

Other players competing at Bovey Castle include Martin Le Mesurier, David James, James Morrison, Jason Levermore and Mark Smith, who all finished in the top ten of the last event at Collingtree Park, Northampton.

Once again, there will be a £10,000 first prize and each player will play two rounds on Tuesday, June 19 and Wednesday, June 20 with the top 50 players plus ties advancing into the final round on Thursday, June 21.
