Tough day ahead at Bovey Castle - 18/06/2001

The scoring will be tough today at Bovey Castle with strong winds around and rain forecast for the afternoon.

Evidence of how difficult the course will play today came in the first group where Ben Montgomery (Frinton GC) - one under after the first round - shot 75 to move to four over for the tournament, although one of his playing partners, Adam Norman (Moseley)went round level to sit one over for the tournament, no mean feat in the tricky conditions.
