Wells Makes Great Start At Wentworth - 09/09/2007
PGA EUROPRO TOUR star John Wells has made a great start to the BMW Championship at Wentworth, carding a three-under-par 69 on Thursday. 
Wells is among a host of players from the PGA EuroPro Tour playing in the high-profile event.
The Beverley golfer opened with a 69 on Thursday, hitting birdies at the fourth, seventh, tenth and 12th holes before slipping back to -3 with a bogey at 14.
He is a shot behind current clubhouse leader Peter Lawrie, who also has experience on the PGA EuroPro Tour, and level with the likes of Ernie Els, Ian Poulter and Angel Cabrera.
Further players who have played on the PGA EuroPro Tour include Scott Drummond, who opened with a 70, and the trio of Ross Fisher, Marc Warren and Andrew Butterfield, who are at -1.
