Wentworth Experience For Wells - 08/09/2007

JOHN WELLS' challenge at the BMW Championship suffered disappointment on day three, when he carded an 82.

Wells was one of a number of players with PGA EuroPro Tour experience to make the cut at Wentworth, opening with a 69 and hitting a 77 on Friday.

But his quest suffered a blow on Saturday, with a ten-over-par round putting him on 12 over par.

That included three double-bogeys in four holes towards the end of his round.

Darren Prosser is seven shots ahead of Wells at +5, having shot 72 and 71 for his opening rounds before hitting a 78 on Saturday.

Bradley Dredge and Ross Fisher are among a group on +2.
