Woodman Surges Clear - 17/08/2007
GUY WOODMAN holds a one-shot lead from Justin Brown going into the final day of the Bartercard Stoke by Nayland International Open. 
Stoke Park star Woodman followed up his excellent opening round of 67 with a 70 on Wednesday to move out to -7.
He hit three birdies in the opening six holes to move further clear of the field, although two bogeys and a birdie on the back nine saw him drop one shot back closer to the field.
Brown dropped just three shots in an excellent round of 68 on Wednesday to move into second place, hitting five birdies and an eagle.
Martin Sell and Sean Doherty both followed up opening rounds of 70 with a 69 to move into third place at -5.
Mark Ramsdale, Andrew Willey and Phil Rowe are three shots behind the leader at -4, with 2005 winner Paul Curry among four players a further stroke back.
The cut was made at +1, with 54 players progressing to the final round on Thursday.
